How to Find the Perfect Sensitivity & DPI in Valorant

If your crosshair placement feels inconsistent, it might be due to an incorrect mouse sensitivity setting. Simply copying settings from pro players may not match your physical setup or hand size.

Here is a step-by-step scientific method to find your personal sweet spot and build solid muscle memory.

1. Understanding and Calculating eDPI

To standardize sensitivities across different mice, we calculate eDPI (Effective DPI):

eDPI = Mouse DPI x In-game Sensitivity

For example, if you use 800 DPI with 0.35 in-game sensitivity, your eDPI is 280. The vast majority of professional Valorant players operate within the 200 to 400 eDPI range.

2. Finding Your Sensitivity with the PSA Method

Enter the Range and track a bot's head while moving left and right. If your crosshair slips past the target, your sensitivity is too high. If it drags behind, it is too low. Tweak your sensitivity in steps of 0.05 until tracking feels natural and effortless.
