CS2 Economy Management: When to Buy, Force, and Save

Winning rounds in Counter-Strike is heavily tied to managing your team's economy. Buying matching rifles, armor, and utility as a unit prevents situations where you enter rounds at a resource disadvantage.
Here are the fundamental rules of CS2 economic coordination.
1. Coordinated Round Purchases
Always review your team's budget in the freeze phase and make one of the following calls:
Round Structures:
- Eco Round: Save your money (spend under $1000) to ensure a full buy next round.
- Force Buy: Purchase SMGs or cheap rifles (Galil/Famas) and light armor to break the opponent's momentum when your economy is tight.
- Full Buy: Purchase AK/M4 rifles, heavy armor, and a full suite of grenades.
2. The Decision to Save (Keep Silah)
If you are trapped in a 1v4 or 2v5 situation with a high-value rifle, do not push. Retiring to a safe corner and saving your weapon for the next round prevents giving the enemy economy bonuses and saves your team thousands of dollars.
