Mirage A-Site Execute & Smokes Bible: Window, Stairs, and Jungle Lineups

Mirage is the most played map in Counter-Strike history. Whether you are playing Premier mode, FACEIT, or an ESEA league match, knowing how to execute an A-site smoke wall is mandatory. If your team runs out of A Ramp without smokes, enemy AWPers in Jungle and CT Ticket will eliminate you instantly.

This masterclass guide covers the exact jump-throw lineups, flashbang entries, and molotov combos required to execute a flawless Mirage A-site take in CS2's volumetric smoke environment.

1. The Holy Trinity Smokes (Stairs, Jungle, CT)

To execute A site safely, your team must deploy three synchronized smokes from T-Spawn outside A Ramp. In CS2, volumetric smokes expand to fill spaces perfectly, eliminating the old one-way gaps of CS:GO.

Essential Smoke Lineups:

  • 1. Stairs Smoke: Stand on the ledge outside T-Spawn, wedge yourself against the middle pillar, aim at the gap between the wooden scaffolding beams, and left-click throw.
  • 2. Jungle / Connector Smoke: Wedge into the second pillar outside T-Spawn, align your crosshair with the bottom left tip of the white building's roof trapezoid, and execute a standard Jump-Throw.
  • 3. CT Ticket Booth Smoke: Align yourself with the trash can outside T-Ramp, aim at the top right corner of the wooden beam protruding from the wall, and Jump-Throw. This smoke blooms perfectly in front of Ticket, blocking CT rotators completely.

2. Palace & Ramp Entry Flashes

Smokes block distant snipers, but you still need flashbangs to blind close defenders hiding under Balcony, Shadow, or Firebox.

  1. The A-Ramp God Flash: Have your support player stand in A Main, aim high above the wooden roof opening, and left-click throw. The flash pops high in the sky, blinding every CT on site while your entering riflers keep their backs turned to it.
  2. Palace Pop-Flash: Bounce a flashbang off the high wooden rafters inside Palace right before your lurking teammate wide-swings Balcony.

3. Clearing Close Positions with Molotovs

Never clear dark corners with your face. Use incendiary grenades to flush defenders out of common rat positions.

  • Under Balcony (Shadow) Molotov: From Tetris, bounce a molotov off the wooden wall paneling of Palace. The flames will spread entirely underneath the wooden overhang, forcing any hiding CT out into your crosshairs.
  • Triple Box (Default) Molotov: Throw a molotov directly behind the green Triple boxes to deny CTs from dancing around cover during your post-plant setup.

4. Jump-Throw Binds in CS2 Sub-Tick

In CS2, Valve added a built-in jump-throw buffer window. However, binding a dedicated jump-throw alias in your autoexec.cfg guarantees 100% flawless execution every single time without human timing error.
