How to Improve Spray Control & Recoil in CS2

What separates Counter-Strike from other tactical shooters is its distinct recoil system. Mastering weapon spray patterns and adjusting your mouse movement in the opposite direction is essential for winning direct engagements.

Here is how you can train your muscle memory to control recoil perfectly in CS2.

1. The AK-47 Spray Pattern

The AK-47's first 3-4 bullets are highly accurate. After that, the weapon climbs upward, shifts right, and then swings left. To compensate, drag your mouse as follows:

1. First 10 Bullets: Pull your mouse straight down.
2. Bullets 10-20: Move your mouse slightly to the left.
3. Final Bullets: Shift your mouse back to the right to stabilize the spray.

2. Dedicated Recoil Practice

Download community maps like "Recoil Master" from the Steam Workshop. Practicing on these maps for 10 minutes daily will build the hand-eye coordination needed to execute clean spray transfers in active competitive situations.
